Certificate Programs
KU TransCert Program
The KU Transition Certificate Program (KU TransCert) offers educational opportunities for secondary special education professionals focusing on transition from school to adult life. The KU TransCert program provides a comprehensive approach to pre-service transition preparation and a unique opportunity for special education professionals wanting to increase their instructional strategies in transition service and delivery.
This online program draws from the Department’s existing Master’s in Transition coursework and consists of a 15-credit hour online program leading to a graduate certificate in transition. Students must apply and be admitted to the program before enrolling as a non-degree seeking student in the four core transition courses plus a one-course culminating experience. Stipends are available on a priority basis and cover the cost of tuition, books and materials.
