The
Learning Resource Center has numerous features that benefit
students, including the following: computer lab, poster
printer, scanner, and laminator. Children's books, research
books, class reserves, textbooks for lesson planning,
journals, DVD and video are available and can be searched
on the online
catalog. Additionally, the LRC has plenty of seating,
an area set aside for collaboration on projects, and an
assistive learning station for special education.
The SOE Help Desk is located in the heart of the LRC. It features a computer with online catalog information that is accessible to students at any time. It is also where to go when you need to check out printed materials or equipment, or if you have any questions.
The collaborative work area is designed so that students have a place to comfortably work together. This setting is ideal for group assignments as well as study groups.
The LRC catalog is available online. You can look up books and videos available in the LRC from school OR home. When using a Keyword search, remember to use "and" between words to connect them. You can also search the KU Libraries from here.
Like the other KU libraries, the LRC uses the Library of Congress call number system for its collections, with the exception of textbooks and journals.
